Obituary For Stacie Ella Louise Vontress Wheaton

Stacie was born on February 1, 1968 in Wichita, Kansas to John L. Coats and Anita L. Chambers. Stacie had dreams of joining the United States Air Force, but the Lord had other plans for her. Fast forwarding through the trials, tribulations and lessons.

Stacie found another way to travel and landed on the West Coast in 1998. She fell in love with the limitless oceans of California and high, snow-capped mountains of Washington State.

For the past twenty years, Stacie has been a Washington resident with a Californian spirit and Kansas heart. She always wanted to ensure everyone had enough to eat and a warm place to sleep --- one of her many mottoes: "Food is life and life is food."

Stacie passed away on December 28, 2019. She is survived by her spouse, three children, her grandchildren and a city full of people who loved her smile and kindness.

To every person she took under her wing, her last famous words were, "You're gonna miss me when I'm gone."

We all miss you Mom. You made a great impact in your short time on this earth. She maybe physically gone, but never forgotten.

Stacie was love and light! Her smile could and would light up a room. The walls of Home Depot were always brighter with her there. Her legacy will live on through her children and grandchildren, whom she lived and adored! Mama Stacie, Heaven gained a great one when HE called you home! Heaven shines brighter with you there. Please continue to shine down on all of us who loved you. You will forever live in my heart ❤️
