Obituary For Kaye Carlson Kelly

Kaye Carlson Kelly, 86, of Federal Way, Washington, passed away on July 4, 2026. She was born on October 19, 1939, in Preston, Idaho, to George and Bertha Johnson.

Kaye married Paul Salazar and together they welcomed three daughters. After separating from Paul in 1975, Kaye went on to have a successful career as an optician, where she met her forever husband, Robert “Bob” Kelly. They married in 1993 and Kaye gained two additional daughters. Kaye enjoyed shopping, travel, good food, winning big at the local casinos, and her nightly cribbage game with her beloved husband. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Kaye was preceded in death by her parents and her ten siblings: Earl, Don, Edna, Ray, Phyllis, Grace, Beth, Colleen, and George. Kaye is survived by her husband, Robert Kelly. Her daughters, Paula Todd, Anna Salazar, Cindy Salazar, Dena Taylor, and Christy Kelly. Her grandchildren, Jenna Tibbet, Samantha Farrar, and Preston Taylor. Her great-grandsons, Aiden Tibbet and Brett Farrar.
