Obituary For Steven Curtis Bullock

Steven Curtis Bullock passed peacefully into eternal life, with family by his side, on June 28, 2026, after a brief illness. He was 78 years old.

Steve was born on August 28, 1947, in Seattle, Washington, to Melvin Bullock and Mary Yazzolino Bullock. During his early years, his family lived in the home of his Italian maternal grandparents, and he had fond memories of a childhood filled with family and love.

He graduated from Blanchet High School and attended Shoreline Community College before a stint in the U.S. Navy. In 1971, Steve met the love of his life, Beth, at Kebo’s Big Boy Restaurant, where she served him many cups of coffee. They married in 1973 and together they built the family that became his greatest joy.

Steve found his calling in hospitality, beginning as a manager at Seattle’s Space Needle and working his way up through Westin Hotels over the course of nearly 40 years. His career took the family to Alaska, California, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, and Texas. Devoted to the Pacific Northwest, he retired early to return home and later enjoyed working at Phoenix Veterinary Labs before stepping away during the pandemic.

A quiet, creative soul with a quirky, fun-loving side, Steve had a gift for inventing characters, stories, and traditions that his children and grandchildren adored. He loved the outdoors, a good treat, and strong coffee. Above all, he was a hard worker who made sure his family was well taken care of and who always put others first. He quietly, fiercely loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Steve is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 53 years, Beth; his three children, Kim (Bob), Amy (Cesar), and Ryan (Amanda); his sister, Diane (Steve), and brother, Robert (Lauren); ten grandchildren: Cody (Joelle), Kaila (Seth), Laura, Ashton, Liam, Adam, Christian, Lucy, Keyanna, and Kamea; and two great-grandchildren, Willow and Olly, with one more on the way.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish (2316 180th St. SE, Bothell, WA) on August 27, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception in the church hall. We invite you to bring your favorite stories and memories of Steve to share as we celebrate his life. A private family interment at Holyrood Catholic Cemetery will follow the reception.
