Nicole Danielle Bafford Bowen, 48, of Kent, Washington, passed away suddenly on May 24, 2026. She was a wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend who had a caring and compassionate spirit.

Nicole earned a master's degree in public health with a minor in Psychology and worked at various service and administrative roles during her life. She was known for her creative, fun-loving, and free-spirited nature, she was always willing to help anyone in need demonstrating her love for both people and animals.

She found joy in writing poetry, traveling, and helping others. Nicole had a generous heart and a desire to make a positive difference in the world.

Nicole is survived by her husband Glen, daughter Emma, parents Richard and Lucy Bafford, brother Richard {Andrea} Bafford, her mother-in-law Terri {Gary} Higginbotham, father-in-law Eddie {Ana} Bowen, bothers-in-law Zach, Seth, Jared {Sandy} Bowen, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, a niece, and numerous close friends who will cherish her memory.

Her legacy of compassion, creativity, and kindness will continue to inspire those who really knew her.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12 noon pacific time and 3pm eastern time, on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Cady Funeral Home, 8418 S 222ND ST, Kent, 98031. All are welcome to join either in person or remotely via the zoom link below. A small reception will follow. In lieu of flowers please make donations in her name to the Humane Society, ASPCA, Save the Children or the National Institute of Mental Health.
