Obituary For Sandra Lee LaLanne

Sandra Lee LaLanne, 72, died September 17, 2020, of ongoing health complications at St Anne’s Hospital in Burien, Washington.

Sandy was born in Sunnyside, Washington in 1947. She attended Walla Walla College graduating in 1970 with a teaching degree in Business. Sandy later went on to earn her fifth year from the University of Washington.

Sandy taught business for 37 years at Evergreen high school of Seattle and 3 years at Wilson high school of Tacoma, Washington. During the majority of her teaching years, Sandy was an advisor and highly involved in FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America).

Sandy enjoyed travel; she went on many cruises, trips with her stable partners, and her favorite, trips to the Southwest to follow her love of the culture and geography. Sandy’s main hobby was anything to do with horseracing. Sandy was part owner on several racehorses. She spent a lot of time with her Rising Star Stable partners at Emerald Downs enjoying morning workouts, visits to the backside, and races. Sandy’s biggest love was animals, her companion and best friend in her final years was her dog, Max.

Sandy is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mabel Henry.

At this time there will be no service.

    Sabber, it is a long time since we lived on Sadie Street. The fun we had as cousins growing up on the same street. I remember our first day of school with Mrs. Makoski. We were sure something. Funny how it seems like yesterday. Just an old man saying goodbye. Love you!
