Roger had a green thumb and enjoyed landscaping off and on through the years. He really liked creating vibrant thriving spaces.

In the early 1980’s for a period of time Roger was a member of The Guardian Angels.

The GUARDIAN ANGELS were an organization of volunteers who patrolled areas of the city in an attempt to deter crime. Roger took great pride in helping to keep Seattle streets a little safer.

Roger was a motorcycle enthusiast, who LOVED to feel the wind blow through his beautiful long charcoal mane of hair as he rode, LoL.

Roger was a scrapper and the wild card of the family, telling tall tales and getting into too much trouble (but deep down he was just hiding the shadows we all have. His were just bigger than his will, to do right

sometimes.) Yet, Roger loved to make people laugh and had a chuckle ONLY he could do.

Later in life Roger attended and participated in many Native American Sundance ceremonies where he found refuge of comfort and solace in his new community and was welcomed in and given the name Skyhawk.

He was proud of his heritage and tried to do right. He was a bit lost on this journey but many loved him and he loved many, even if he couldn’t always show it. His heart was good.

Roger was a unique spirit who always followed his own path. Never conforming to others. He had many rough roads throughout his life. But he tried to manage his way through, the best he could with the tools life had given him. Roger has left an indelible mark on all who knew and loved him.

“He was a good brother and was there when I needed him” ~Gary

“He was a man who loved his family and no matter what was happening, his family was always first on his mind” ~ Tim

“His laugh always made me laugh with him, I will miss hearing him say Heyy lil’ sis” ~Tammy

Memorial and scattering of his ashes to be held at a later date in summer 2024

Uncle Roger- I love you and pray you have peace in your heart now. I know there is dancing going on up there in the spirit world with your older sisters and little brother and grandma and grandpa! I will always remember you and the connection we shared and that we could meet on and understand. I am sorry life was hard for you and the people you loved were not there for you as your spirit was leaving. I trust we are all on our own path just as you were and I pray we can all walk lightly on our paths not hurting others but spreading light and love where ever we tread when we can like grandma would have always wanted. Your laughter and smile is what I will remember because that was your true self not the one mired in shadows and troubles. Your silly questions that always made me smile …the answer is yes and you know the question 🙂 Love Light and Peace Uncle
