Obituary For Raymond “Art” Breeden Sr

Art passed away on December 12, 2021. He was 80 years young. He was born in Moscow, Idaho, lived in the last 20 years Renton, Washington.

He goes to join his parents Paul and Alice Breeden. 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

He is survived by his wife Mae , sons Raymond Jr. and Tim. Daughters Luncinda Lang and Ellen Burns. He had 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

With lots of family and friends who are never forgotten in between.

Services will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery 18600 SE 240th St, Kent, WA 98042 at 10:00 am on January 14t, 2021. With a gathering to follow at 15276 Pine Dr. Renton, WA 98058.

Kent Covenant Church 12010 SE 240th Kent, WA 98031 Time: 11:15am to 2:00pm

    Art and I meet in 1961 April. As he always said he ask me the 2 time I saw him to marry him, and I did laugh in his faces lol! He was station at Ft.Lewis at the time . He would hitchhike to Spokane every weekend he could. He got out for a brief time in 1963. When he could not find a job he re-in-listed think in April 63. In May he got orders to go to Colorado Spring. I think we had 2 weeks to get married. Art also said my limo was very expensive lol Which was Greyhound buses to Colorado Springs ..It was a short stay ,he got orders to go to Germany in September. So my first airplane ride was to Germany..After closing down two bases and having 2 baby’s . I was sent home to have number 3 in Auburn.He’s next stop was Colorado Springs again lol ..Then he was sent to Africa! For a year, but ended in 6 months .So in Feb.of 1970 we went to Alabama. For 9 months. Our next move was back to Germany..then back to Ft Lewis where he was discharged. In September of 1973 he went to work for the post office. After 10 years of moving we where home and stayed in Kent for 25 years. We moved to Renton in May of 2000 . In 2007 or 8 they where going to sell the park we lived in so Art and other park people picketed. Then went to council meeting at Renton ,Seattle and even at the Capital in protesting to not kick over 100 55 or older people out of there homes . With help from a few people in offices they saved the park. Regan Dunn and Lee Constantine we’re two senators that help a lot ! All most all of Renton council was on our side also.
