Phyllis Stovall-Ackun. Born Oct. 3rd 1961. Passed away Aug. 24th 2021.

Beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, Auntie and Grandmother. Phyllis was born in Oakland, Calif. She lived most of her life in Seattle, WA and passed away in Atlanta, GA. She is survived by her husband Ebenezer Ackun, daughters Keren Danquah, Shaylauna Stovall, son Andale Stovall, sisters Angelanlene (Angie) Stovall, Edith ( Edie ) Stovall Brown, Mary Seaton, Betty Stovall, brothers Danny Gaines, Malcolm Stovall, Thornton Stovall, grandson Ethan Danquah, granddaughter Gabrielle Danquah and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents Burden S. Stovall and Evelynlene Sturdivant, and sisters Robena and Teresa Stovall. Phyllis was Licensed Nurse most of her life, and was a quiet, gentle soul, and a devout Christian with a generous heart and a passion for serving. This passion led her to found Alpha and Omega Charities, a totally volunteer organization, in April of 2016. The Alpha and Omega charity was founded due to the need to respond to community concerns like poor health conditions of children in Kasese district, conflicts out of wars, floods, land conflicts and the alarming scourge of HIV/Aids amongst communities in the district.

Through this organization Phyllis was able to house, clothe, and help feed many people in Uganda, which included mostly women and orphan children. Over the years she had made many trips to Uganda to help first hand, with the running of the charity. The people she has helped loved her and called her Mama Phyllis.
