Obituary For Patricia Lucille Medina
Patricia Lucille Medina, 89, died December 7, 2021.
She was born in Wailuku, Maui, June 1932 to Lucille ‘Lucy’ Souki and John Rivera Medina.
Her grandparents, Frank and Alexandria Souki, Kahului, Maui and Candelario Medina and Joanna Rivera, Iao, Maui. Her family largely Portuguese and Puerto Rican immigrated to the Hawaiian Islands in the mid-1800’s.
A single mother of three, Eric, Melinda and Christopher Jon, she moved her family to Seattle, Washington. Both a Great Grandmother and Grandmother, of 9 grandchildren, she was a resident of Kent, Washington since 1969.
She is predeceased by her son, Eric W. Mulhorn and her brother Mathew H. Medina. She is survived by her brothers Charles W. Medina, Albert L. Medina, and her children, Melinda, and Christopher Jon Mulhorn.
She will return to Oahu, in June 2022, and be buried next to her father at Hawaiian Memorial Cemetery. A gravesite service is planned for late June 2022. Our mother loved animals and we ask for any memorial contributions go to Hawaiian Humane Society and Hawaii Animal Rescue Foundation.
