Obituary For Karl Eduard Latt

Karl Latt passed away unexpectedly at age 51 from natural causes and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Karl grew up in West Seattle and continued his residence throughout his life in the Seattle area. Karl is survived by his wife Leigh Latt, brothers Kurt and Paul, nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts.

Karl loved to camp and through much of his life he spent time at the family lake property out near Shelton Washington. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the campfire, riding motorcycles, golfing, playing poker, and other campsite activities. Karl also was a huge fan of the NFL to an ever-increasing degree and never lost support for his team the Denver Broncos. As the Broncos’ biggest fan in these parts, Karl loved defending them with passion to whomever gave him a hard time about their record or latest player. It was always in good fun with competitive ribbing, but Karl knew his football inside and out and could make the best case for his orange team. Karl worked in a variety of retail and warehouse positions including some management roles supporting the auto parts industry such as Schuck’s, NAPA and other parts warehouse companies.

Karl is preceded in death by his brother Eric Rein Latt who passed away in 1990 at the age of 29. Not many know that Karl was the one to step forward without hesitation in the late 1980s when Eric needed a bone marrow transplant to fight Leukemia. Although Karl’s bone marrow helped sustain Eric for a time, Leukemia ultimately took Karl’s brother, unfortunately. Karl has been cremated and there is no ceremony scheduled at this time. Karl’s ashes will be dispersed by immediate family in a similar manner to that of his brother Eric, mother Tira and father Rein. Karl will be deeply missed, may he rest in peace.

Karl is my brother and was taken from us far far too soon. I miss him more and more every day and have many memories of us growing up together in Seattle, camping, watching football games, and family BBQs, birthday parties and gatherings of family and friends. Karl had a very good sense of humor and was always so supportive as a brother. Anytime i needed help out at the camping property he was right there to lend a hand. In recent months his health began to decline more and more but he still maintained a strong persona that he could get through things in a positive way and outlook. I will very much miss Karl's spirit and bond as a brother and greatly value the time on this earth we shared.
