Obituary For Karen Annette Wyciskala
Karen Annette Bailey Wyciskala was born November 16th,1957 to Roy Edward and Gail Beverly Bailey in Seattle, Washington. She was a victim of a tragic car wreck caused by an impaired driver while returning her grand-dog, Russell, back to her grandchildren on March 19th, 2021. She was 63 years young, as she would say.
Karen is survived by her sons, Tyler Green and Mark Wyciskala, grandchildren Marley, Christian, Madyson, and Ellie. Siblings Michelle DeGroot, Gayl Bailey and his wife Kathleen, and her twin brother Kent Bailey and his wife Cathy. Daughter-in-Laws, Ronee Wyciskala and Ashley Green. In addition to many neices, nephews, and cousins scattered around the Pacific Northwest.
She was preceded by her brothers Mark Bailey and his wife Barrie, and Brian Bailey and his wife Luann.
Karen was very proud of her 32 year career as a commercial truck driver. She drove everything from dump trucks, to log trucks, and tractor trailers.
She loved visiting Sitka, Alaska where she would spend time fishing for halibut and salmon with Tyler, Ashley, Ellie, and numerous friends.
While at home in Tacoma she enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports, knitting hats, gardening (she had a GREEN THUMB), and attending Freedom River Outreach. She also loved baking banana bread with her grandchildren during their sleepovers. Karen's family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the Pierce County Sherriff's Department for their work and support throughout this tragedy for serving justice and their support during the investigation. They would also like to extend their gratitude to their friends, family, and community for the overwhelming love and support to find Russell, send meals, and provide comfort with their kind words and memories.
Memorial services will be held April 2nd, 2021 at Frontier Park in Graham, Washington from 2-6pm.
