Obituary For Jose Raul Saucedo
On Sunday, January 16th Raul Saucedo, surrounded by his children, Roddney, Rebeka, Renee, and his wife Charlotte Ann (Charlie), passed away quietly after struggling with ongoing health issues.
Raul was an avid hiker, skier, camper, bowler, softball player and a scouting kind of guy. He made sure that he taught all three of his children to ski, build a mean fire, and play sports. He made damn sure they could all parallel park, drive a standard and change a flat tire.
Raul and his wife Charlie shared thirty years of marriage. They camped, traveled, and enthusiastically cheered on the Mariners and the Seahawks together. They had a wide circle of friends, including Raul’s softball teammates and fellow members of Woodmen of the World.
Raul was especially proud of his 3 years of service in the US Army. His stations included Fort Lewis (Now JBLM) in Washington along with being stationed in Germany for a short time.
Raul was an active guy. Many members of the community will remember being part of his Scout troop or being coached by him in one, or many, of the sports that he loved to share with everyone.
He took each day one day at a time and always seemed to have a calm approach on things. He will be missed by his family and many members of the community. Please remember to hug your family and friends and tell them how much you love them.
At this time, we ask that you keep his family in your thoughts and prayers as they work through their loss. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Washington’s National Park Fund (https://wnpf.org/support-parks/donate/). Because Raul was such an avid outdoorsman and loved to spend time in the parks, he would love this as a remembrance.
