Obituary For Jennifer L Coe

Jennifer Lynn Coe, “Jen” or “Jenny” to friends and family, unexpectedly passed away on a beautiful spring day, March 22nd, 2022 in Issaquah, Washington. She was born Jennifer Lynn Toman, August 6th, 1979, to Sherry Kuzan and Jim Toman in Redmond, Washington. Jen lived in Maple Valley most of her life and graduated from Maple Valley High School in the class of 1997. She later went on to attend Highline Community College to get her nursing degree. She made the Dean’s list both years and became a Registered Nurse in 2012. Her favorite job was working as a school nurse.

Jen was a kind, caring, creative and thoughtful soul who greatly enjoyed children and helping people in need. Jen’s greatest joy in life was her children whom she always wanted the best for. Her mother cites her theme song as, “Jen-Jen, you are my sunshine, you make me happy when skies are gray.” She was endlessly optimistic and her joy was contagious. Jen enjoyed crafting always making sweet remembrances for her loved ones. If you ever received a gift from Jen it was special for you and the thought that went into the gift made you feel loved. She loved the spring season and especially enjoyed prim roses and daffodils. She loved the great, peaceful forests of the Pacific Northwest, enjoying time in nature and the art inspired by those scenes. She loved all things from the 60’s and 70’s and she had a favorite cabbage patch doll named “Portia Rory” and a koosa cat named “Andrew.” Jen was also a child of the 90’s taking in the great music, festivals, art and culture of the Seattle area. Jen had a natural beauty and wonderful smile that was reflected in her collection of porcelain Disney princess figurines. Jen was an intelligent bookworm and spent countless hours living in the worlds created by great literature. Jen grew up in the Springbrook Church of Christ with close family and was baptized and married there in 1998.

Jen is survived by her by her husband of 24 years, Mathew Coe, her four children Alison Coe (23), Athena Coe (21), Amelia Kuzan (8), and Jacob Toman (6), her parents Jim and Tracy Toman, Sherry and Frank Kuzan, her siblings Chris (Windy) Toman, Tim (Jessica) Kuzan and Kellan Toman, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by grandparents Alpha and Jerusha Sims and Don and Vina Toman. Our long stemmed rose, we will miss you until we are reunited on the other side. You suffered much pain and loss but are now whole and healed. We love you. Memorial services will be held at Springbrook Church of Christ on April 2nd, 2022 at 11am with refreshments and visiting time to follow.

Yea, though thou didst walk through the valley of the shadow of death, fear now no evil for goodness and mercy have delivered our Dove skyward into the light of unconditional love. Our Angels embrace this no longer Lost Little Lamb. In my heart always, remembered in precious innocence, Immortal Beloved. Fly on, Jennifer Lynn Toman Coe, my Sweet Cousin. Treasured memories of days gone by...if only we could turn back the hands of time. Halt the sand slipping through the funnel of our shared hourglass, hold still right there in our moments of mutual joy, all the more treasured. Fare thee well, for now. Until we meet again, my Dear Cousin. "Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name: you are mine. When you do through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior." ~Isaiah 43:2-3 (NLT) In Loving Memory, Elizabeth Hope "Little Bird" Sims-Day 4-2-2022

I will keep Jennifer in my heart for as long as I live...she showed a lot of love and kindness to me from the very first day I met her back in 1998. Later on when I moved to Maple Valley she would take time to visit me. She always had something cute and thoughtful for me, a little candle, a potted African violet, a special linen spray I still have ...every time she visited me it was very special...memories dear to my heart. Jennifer gave me the dress for my wedding and that is a very precious memory I hold dear as well. I remember her always talking with love and pride about her girls...During the time I was in dental hygiene school, when Jennifer heard that I needed patients she offered to be one of them. I went to pre-screen her at Valley Hospital where she was doing an internship. Her teeth were simply too healthy and clean...so she did not qualify as a patient, but I was very appreciative of the fact that she offered to be my patient...Jennifer, your kindness, your thoughtfulness and generosity towards me will be in my heart for as long as I live. May God rest your kind soul in a peaceful place with no pain, surrounded by daffodils and primroses... Love, Cristina Sims
