Recent Obituaries

Jacob Lee Graddon, born November 29, 1998 in Los Angeles California, passed away March 3rd, 2019 in Tacoma Washington. An exhaust leak in his beloved car caused carbon monoxide build-up putting Jacob to eternal sleep, and interrupting his plans for a bright future. He went to elementary and Junior High in University Place, and graduated from Lincoln High School in Tacoma in 2017. He loved life, his car, friends and family.

Eternally optimistic and laid-back Jacob always wanted to give advice or lend a helping hand. Even from his final rest Jacob’s donor status has allowed him to help the lives of many. He is survived by his Mother, Mary Graddon; his Father, Paul Drazek; his Grandparents, Jerry and Trese Graddon, and Barbara Drazek; aunts, uncles, cousins, a multitude of friends, and his cats who all meant the world to him and were an extension of his family.

Jacob loved Point Defiance Park, playing the violin, karate, biking, hanging out with his friends, and his purple civic. He treasured his cousins and family. You could always count on Jacob to have shorts on underneath his jeans, at least 3 layers of shirts and his back pack. He was always ready for his next adventure. Jacob was taken from us too soon but he will always be in our hearts. May he rest in peace.

A viewing will be held Saturday, March 9th at Cady Cremation Services and Funeral Home in Kent at 8418 South 222nd Street, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

We will hold a Celebration of Jacob’s life on Thursday March 21st 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Visitation Catholic Church social hall at 3314 South 58th St, Tacoma, WA 98409.

The Funeral Mass will be held at Visitation Church on Saturday March 23rd at 11 a.m. Jacob’s interment will occur March 23rd at 1:30 p.m. at Gethsemane Catholic Cemetery 37600 Pacific Hwy South, in Federal Way.
