Obituary For Gerald Gifford Inman

Gerald was born in May of 1933 to Theodore Benjamin and Anna Jane Inman in North Carolina. When he was young the family moved to Deer Park, Washington where Gerry graduated from Deer Park High in 1952. Gerry was surrounded by loving family when he was born into Heaven on May 21, 2021 at 88 years old. He joined the love of his life, his wife Donna, his parents, sisters Evelyn, Freida and Marian and his brothers Paul and Guy in Heaven. His spirit is carried on by those he was most proud of; his brother Darrell, his 4 children Mike, Rick, Jerry and Teri and their spouses, 9 grandkids and 16 great grandkids.

Gerry was often described as being “larger than life”. In his younger days he seemed fearless as he was teaching skydiving or hiking into Slide Lake with his buddies in the middle of the night after getting off work. He loved gardening with his wife, going for drives and enjoying the beautiful scenery, especially the fall colors. When snow was predicted he would call all of his kids to see if it was snowing there yet. Some of our favorite memories are the family reunions in Leavenworth, white water rafting and telling stories around the campfire.

Gerry was in the Navy reserves then proudly retired from Boeing after 38 years. Gerry had a private but deep faith in Jesus Christ and loved Southern Gospel music as well as Hawaiian music, as a reminder of the trips he and Donna took to Maui.

Gerald’s love, support and sense of adventure will be missed but we are comforted in knowing that he is dancing with his wife in the beautiful gardens of Heaven.

A small, private memorial will be held at a later date.
