Obituary For Deletta Marie Rossmeier
DOB March 4, 1955 Lynch Nebraska
DOD November 7, 2021 Seattle Washington
Preceded in Death: Margaret Rossmeier (1996 mother ), Max Rossmeier (2005 father), Brooke Lee Bertrand (2001 niece), Michelle Rossmeier-Simpson- Peeler (2015 sister), Sharon Rossmeier-Verall (2020 sister)
Survived by: Her daughter Lena Marie Shaw (Steven), Granddaughter: Skylar Marie Morse, Grandson: Sebastian David Deitz
The family moved from Rapid City South Dakota in 1966 to Seattle, Washington. Deletta was the 5th child of 12 siblings ( 7 sisters and 5 brothers). At the age of 15 she was diagnosed with Child Hood Diabetes. The lifelong challenges this presented were enormous, but through it all she always kept a positive attitude and never complained. She has been very generous with her family, at one time or another she has taken care of her nieces and nephews to help their parents out. She really stepped in when her mother was battling cancer in 1996, Deletta would help take care of her mother’s clients. She was also living with her father and taking care of him before he passed. It is a synchronicity that she passed on what would have been her father’s 104th Birthday. Deletta was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Auntie, and Friend. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, going to the Alki Beach Anchor, taking the water taxi to the downtown Seattle waterfront, and enjoyed Italian and Mexican food! Her baking delicious holiday treats of Snickerdoodles and Rice Krispie Wreaths will be deeply missed.
She will forever be in our hearts!
In Lieu of flowers, one of her preferred charities is ST Jude’s Hospital, or please make a donation to your favorite charity.
