Obituary For Dawn Ferrin
Our sister went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus, on May 21, 2020 in Renton, Washington, due to health-related causes. Dawn was born on December 10, 1957 to Carrol and Betty Ferrin, in Seattle Washington. Dawn spent most of her childhood in the hospital dues to issues with her kidneys and had several surgeries, and her health issues continued into adulthood. Despite the challenges, Dawn was always willing to help when she could. She volunteered at the American Cancer Society Thrift shop and the Children’s Orthopedic Thrift shop, the latter due to spending her childhood as a patient at the Children’s Hospital in Seattle. She is a lifetime member of Southcenter Community Baptist Church, where she was involved with Awanas and teaching Sunday School to the special need’s kids. She is also a long-time member of the East Hill Grange. She had a passion for crafts, crocheting, puzzles and many other crafts projects too many to mention. Dawn never married or had children of her own but loved being “Aunt Dawn” to her many nieces and nephews. She was a loving older sister to us and was always there when we needed her help. She will be greatly missed by both her family and many friends.
Dawn was preceded in death by her grandparents on both sides of the family. Her father, Carrol Ferrin, Mother, Elizabeth Ferrin , and several Aunts and Uncles. She is survived by her sisters Penny Martin and Traci Ferrin, brothers Kevin Ferrin and Kelly Ferrin, and her Brother in Law, Melvin Martin. Nieces Nikkea, Lorissa, and Andrea Ferrin , Jennifer Weissenbuehler, and Melissa Dunn. Nephews, Nathan Martin and Joshua Dunn. Great Nephews, Oliver Rizzardini, Alexander Ferrin, and Tucker Murray. A Memorial Service will be planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Dawn’s name to your favorite charity. All are welcome to share your memories at www.cadycremationservices.com
