Obituary For Consuelo Chapa
Consuelo P . Chapa, age 89, passed away peacefully April 6,2021 at St. Anne Hospital in Burien, WA . She was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Consuelo married Santiago G. Chapa, her one and only love.
Together they made their dreams come true making their home, raising their family and starting a business in White Center, Washington. She attended El Centro de La Raza, an organization grounded in the Latino Community of Washington State, where she took classes and learned English as a second language. She worked for the Kenney Presbyterian Home and Sea Mar Community Care Service Center as a Certified Nursing Assistant where she cared for many patients during her forty – year career in the Health Industry.
Consuelo is survived by her brother, Professor Gilberto Perez, her daughter Alma R. Chapa and sons Santiago Chapa (Dalia) and Jose Chapa (Loan Lam ) , eleven grandchildren; Esequiel Sandoval , Lucy Chapa , Jose Lara Chapa , Juan Chapa , Sojaila Chapa (Ignacio) , Dorinee Chapa , Hugo Chapa , Santiago Chapa (Nina Hernandez),Jacob Coheley (Ariah), Gina Coheley , Nhat (Owen) Nguyen and nineteen great grandchildren; Nicolas Sandoval , Esequiel C. Sandoval, Malakai Kelly, Sophia Sandoval, Cortez Chapa, Juanita Chapa , Daniel Chapa , Michael Chapa, Alma S. Chapa , Abigail S. Chapa ,Juan Chapa , Isaac Coheley, Noah Coheley, Cadence Coheley, Christian Chapa , Angel Chapa Andre Chapa and Eli Chapa.
She was preceded in death by her husband Santiago G. Chapa, parents Amador and Paula Perez and siblings Rafaela Santos, Guadalupe (grande), Erasmo, Amador and Guadalupe (chico) Perez.
A private viewing will be held at Cady Cremation Services and Funeral Home on April 16, 2021 at 8418 S. 222nd St. Kent, WA 98031.
