Obituary For Steven Paul Lee

In Loving Memory of Steven Paul Lee, January 1952-January 2019

Steven Paul Lee was born January 18th, 1952 in Renton, WA to parents Milton and Helen Lee. He was the first of four children, and loved playing the role of big brother to sisters Diana, Julie, and Rhonda.

Steve attended Renton High School and later Hazen High School, where he met his soul mate and love of his life Joann E. Hurner. They married in 1973 before Steve was shipped off to serve in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam conflict, with a duty station of Barbers Point, HI. From 1975-1980, Steve quickly became a doting father to three rambunctious kids; Anna, Nick, and Kristin, whom he adored. After the Navy, Steve was a dedicated employee at The Austin Company, Peter Kiewit and Sons and finally at The Boeing Company, from which he retired in 2016.

His career took him from Renton and Lacey, WA to Columbia, MD and back. In 1994 he finished a goal he set of completing his B.S. from Seattle University. Throughout his life, Steve loved spending his time camping, fishing, BBQing, swimming, golfing, singing, and dancing (a legacy that lives on in his children and grandchildren) but most of all he was happiest when he was sharing quality time with friends and family.

He is survived by many, and loved by all. Rest easy, Steve, and until our paths cross again, SALUTE!
