Roger was born into this world January 1st, 1959.

Making his presence known as the first New Years baby of the year in Cheyenne Wyoming to Adam and Eva Lopez.

Roger was the second born son of 8 children

Passed away and left this world September 12th, 2023

at the age of 64 years old in Kirkland Washington.

Roger quietly passed with his wife Rene by his side.

Roger is preceded in death by:

his parents, his oldest brother- Stevie Lopez, his 2 older sisters - Kathie Vaughn, Diane Larson, and his younger brother- Ron Lopez

Roger leaves behind,

his younger brothers- Gary Lopez & Tim Lopez

And Younger sister - Tammy McKenzie

Ex-wife- Maureen

Daughters - Malia & Alicia

Current wife- Rene

Daughters-

Lanita and Sasha and Son - Abram

3 Granddaughters - Kiera, Niah, and Kamiah and 3 Grandsons - Caleb, Avé, and Jaden.

As well as many nieces, nephews, Great nieces, nephews and cousins.

Roger grew up in Cheyenne until his family moved to Washington state. Where he attended:

-Cedar valley elementary school

-Sequoia Jr high

&

Thomas Continuation Jr/Sr high

Roger had a green thumb and enjoyed landscaping off and on through the years. He really liked creating vibrant thriving spaces.

In the early 1980's for a period of time Roger was a member of The Guardian Angels.

The GUARDIAN ANGELS were an organization of volunteers who patrolled areas of the city in an attempt to deter crime. Roger took great pride in helping to keep Seattle streets a little safer.

Roger was a motorcycle enthusiast, who LOVED to feel the wind blow through his beautiful long charcoal mane of hair as he rode, LoL.

Roger was a scrapper and the wild card of the family, telling tall tales and getting into too much trouble (but deep down he was just hiding the shadows we all have. His were just bigger than his will, to do right

sometimes.) Yet, Roger loved to make people laugh and had a chuckle ONLY he could do.

Later in life Roger attended and participated in many Native American Sundance ceremonies where he found refuge of comfort and solace in his new community and was welcomed in and given the name Skyhawk.

He was proud of his heritage and tried to do right. He was a bit lost on this journey but many loved him and he loved many, even if he couldn't always show it. His heart was good.

Roger was a unique spirit who always followed his own path. Never conforming to others. He had many rough roads throughout his life. But he tried to manage his way through, the best he could with the tools life had given him. Roger has left an indelible mark on all who knew and loved him.
