Reth Chin

Obituary For Reth Chin

With heavy hearts, we honor the life of Reth Chin, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend. Born in Battambang, Cambodia, she endured and overcame the hardships of the Khmer Rouge genocide. She was an army wife. Her husband was killed in the Khmer Rouge war. Fleeing Cambodia and finding refuge in the United States in 1982. She first settled in Georgia before making Washington her forever home.

Reth Chin, is survived by her two daughters Sambat Chin & Lisa Preap, Son Sambo chin, two grandsons Demani Chin & Kenny Preap, who will continue to cherish her memory and legacy.

Though she faced many health challenges over the years, she is now at peace, free from pain and suffering.

    We love you. You deserve everything great in life. Mom is the most selfless person I know. Always quick to help anyone that needs help and never hesitate. You are loved by so many people because of who you are. your heart is so big. Mom, will literally drop whatever to be here for me. Whenever I need her. Has showed me what it means to be loved unconditionally. I thank buddha for blessing me with you, We are also lucky to have you. I pray God continue to bless you with many more years.

    Peace be with my beautiful, beloved Reth, my friend, sister n family. I love you and will always keep you in my heart. Your life was well lived with your loving n caring children, grandsons, family n friends. I cherish the many loving memories we shared. I will always remember all the fun, laughter n joy we had as we soldered around together going swimming and stopping at moms n pops restaurants etc. I will miss you but as I light this candle I know you and I will be forever be connected at heart. Peace n blessings Mell
