Patricia Evelyn Darby (Hannus), 93, of Kent, Washington, passed away on April 22, 2023, of age related illness. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Patricia was born on April 30, 1929, to Judith Elvira and William Gustoff Hannus in Enumclaw, Washington. After graduating from Renton Senior High in 1947, she went on to receive her degree in nursing.

After finishing college, she moved to Santa Maria for work. This is where she met her late husband, Donald Bruce Darby. They married in 1953, in Bellevue, Washington, and went on to have six children, Judy, Susan, Catherine, Chuck, Nancy, and Jim, spending most of their married life in Concord, California.

Patricia was predeceased by her husband Donald Darby, in 1986, and daughter, Judith Hynson in 2004.

She is survived by five children: daughter Susan and her spouse Robin Tousley of Eureka, California; Catherine Collins of Fairfield, California; son Charles and his spouse Christine Darby of Auburn, Washington; daughter Nancy and her spouse Edward Melanson of Norfolk, Massachusetts; son James Darby and Kelli McFate of Graham, Washington; twelve grandchildren, and fifteen great grand-children.

Patricia and Donald loved camping, fishing, and traveling in their RV with family and friends. Pat loved her family and was incredibly proud of each one. She was talented in the arts of sewing and knitting and will be missed by all.

Services will be held June 3, 2023, 1:00 p.m., at Zion Lutheran Church, 25105 132nd Ave. S.E. Kent, Washington. For those not able to attend in person there will be a live stream on youtube from the Church.
