Margaret was born July 24, 1929 in Juanita, WA to Henry and Grace (Erickson) Thomas, and passed away June 29, 2022 in Renton, WA at the age of 92 after a brief time in the hospital.

She grew up in the Redmond area and graduated from Lake Washington High School. She married Gene Buxton in 1952 and had three daughters. She retired from the Renton School District, was active in the Renton United Methodist Church and lived in Renton for 63 years, spending her last 6 years at Merrill Gardens Assisted Living.

Margaret enjoyed the company of others, made many friends over the years, and was devoted to her family. She was an avid sports fan, especially of the Mariners and the Seahawks. She lived a good long life and so many were blessed to have known her.

She was preceded in death by her husband Gene in 2008, her daughter Karla Mulhorn in 2022, and her brothers Donald and David Thomas. She is survived by daughters Annette Hatcher (Wade Wedeking) and Sue (Lane) Manriki; five grandchildren: Brandon Mulhorn, Malia Lewis, Rachel Whitmore, Lauren Manriki, Chase Manriki; two great grandchildren: Ethan and Elika Lewis.

She was interred August 4th, joining her husband at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA.
