Obituary For Kevin Schneider

"It is with profound sadness that the family of Kevin Joseph Schneider announce his passing on March 24th, 2023 at Valley Medical Center in Renton, Washington.

Kevin was born to Leslie and Janet Schneider on September 7th, 1967 in Burien, Washington. He grew up in Renton, Washington and enjoyed many years of competitive sports and riding his beloved Mongoose bike. He was a graduate of Kentridge High School in 1985. He met his wife Julie soon after and married her on November 25th, 1988. Kevin and Julie were happily married for 34 years and had three children together. Kevin worked over 30 years in the construction industry operating heavy machinery, a career he loved. While he was a fan of all sports his favorite pastime was following the Seattle Seahawks. Above all, Kevin will be remembered for his love and devotion to his family.

Kevin is survived by his wife Julie, children Zach (Mercedes), Carly (Landon), Meaghen (Tanner), his parents Leslie and Janet, brother Craig (Tonya), and many friends and family.

Kevin’s family would like to express their gratitude to all the staff at Valley Medical Center and Arcadia Medical Resort for their kindness and support throughout his last month.

A memorial for Kevin will take place on April 28th at St. John The Baptist Church in Covington, Washington at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to Northwest Kidney Centers. https://www.nwkidney.org/how-to help/give/give-overview/

    Our family had the pleasure to meet the Schneider's when Meaghen met our son Tanner. Kevin was always gracious, quick witted and had such a passion for Seattle sports! Most importantly he always made us feel a part of his family. There are no words to express this loss. He will truly be missed and we are here with love and support for all of you. The Evans Family

    My favorite memories of Kevin are from the river at my grandparents farm - part of the property of his uncle and aunt, Jerry and Gail. He took us kids in the middle of the night in the trails to tell us ghost stories, showed us how to float down the river, hike to the waterfall, take a plunge no matter how cold or uncomfortable it was. He brought drinks and snacks to share, always leading the way for a party. And then, at night before going home or going to sleep in our tents, he would share the best family stories by the bonfire that would make me, my cousins, and my mom laugh so hard. No one could make my mom laugh like her cousin Kevin could. I wish I could have been there while they were growing up together because his memories were so vivid and showed such a fun side to our family. I wish I could have experienced Kevin longer. I am so devastated about this loss to our family and express my deepest sympathies to his immediate family, whom we are so fortunate to have so many traits of his. We love you, Kevin and family ❤️
