Obituary For Johnny Paul Justice
Born in Portsmouth, Ohio on May 24th, 1953 to Mother Clarice Louise Justice (Stidham) and Father Ruey Aubrey Justice. Johnny grew up on a farm where they had milking cows, pigs, corn, beagles and blue heelers. He was one of seven children. He is survived by sisters Judy Weller, Nancy Lohman, Cheryl Justice and brothers Jim Justice and Bill Justice with their respective spouses and families. He is also survived by son-in-law and daughter, Erik and Karisa Justice Karjalainen, and their children Katelyn Molden-Holmes, Joesiah Karjalainen, Tyler Karjalainen, Emma Karjalainen, Darosa Sobir and Bizhan Sobir-Justice. He is also survived by daughter Sadie Marie Justice with a baby boy due in March.
He went to Lincoln High School in Seattle where he met Karla and Dianne. He was a hard worker that had two jobs and three vehicles in high school! He was married to Karla’dee Ann Justice (Olsen) for fifteen years and had daughter Karisa Deanne. He joined the Army during the Vietnam Era and went to Korea. He served four years and was in the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment also known as “Brave Rifles” and was a door gunner. John was honorably discharged and received two medals. He continued to do civilian work, was a tank instructor and knew how to disarm field mines. He earned an Associates Degree in Surveying. He was a member of the Concrete Union and owned a construction company called Straightline Construction. He had hobbies of building and remodeling houses, motorcycles and model tanks. He was a professional drummer and played in multiple bands over the years. His very first band called the Titans V or the “Teeny Titans,” with sister Cheryl, even caught the attention of Paul McCartney with the Beatles!
He lived in many places such as El Paso, TX, Yuma, AZ and Las Vegas, NV. He then moved to Littleton, CO and lived for many years with his brother Bob Justice who has now passed. John then came back up to Seattle, WA for his final years. He reconnected with his long time friend and sweetheart Dianne Laurier and mother to Sadie Marie.
Everyone he met was his favorite person and he would even give a fair chance to the least of these. He was very generous with all that he had. He went to church at Calvary Chapel Edmonds and made many new friends there. He loved going for rides and out to eat at Denny’s with his friend Ken Oswald.
We are happy that my Dad came to the Lord and was baptized in his final days. He was fighting two forms of cancer and succumbed to a respiratory illness. He passed away in his sleep early Thursday morning, January 4th, 2024 at his home in Richmond Beach in Shoreline, WA surrounded by loved ones. We know he is now at peace with our Savior the Lord Jesus Christ. There will be a celebration of life for John at Calvary Chapel Edmonds on Saturday, March 16th, 2024, at 11am. He will be laid to rest on Monday, March 18th, 2024 at 2pm, at the Tahoma Cemetery for Veterans in Kent, WA with military honors.
Contributions can be made in John Paul’s name to the School of Worship at Calvary Chapel Edmonds or on his Give Send Go account at https://www.givesendgo.com/johnnypauljustice. The School of Worship at CCE is where kids are learning to play instruments such as the drums, piano and guitar unto the Lord. John’s last time playing the drums was at the School of Worship where he attended two classes and put on a percussion demonstration.
Condolences
