Obituary For Jason Erick Blunt

Jason Erick Blunt, age 45, died in Renton, Washington on March 1, 2019. He was born on June 18, 1973, in Moline, Illinois, the first child to Jerry Blunt and Lynn Blunt Lyons. A brother, Nathan, was born into the family later.

After graduating from United Township High School in Moline, Jason joined the United States Army where he worked with the Military Police. He was stationed in Korea and served his country from 1992-1996. He was proud to continue in the legacy of military service following in his father and grandfather’s footsteps. H e moved to the Northwest in 1996 where he eventually met his sweetheart Carissa Swann while working in the Fred Meyer toy department, selling her 150 hotwheel cars, one at a time, before she became brave enough to ask him out. He made her laugh.

They became the parents of two sons, Lance and Logan. Jason loved being a father, and he loved Carissa. He was musically inclined, played the guitar, and was learning banjo just before he passed away. He was an avid video gamer (Assassins Creed), and enjoyed the outdoors and playing sports with his brother. He loved spending time at his family's cabin at a lake in Minnesota.

He is survived by the love of his life, Carissa Dawn Swann, sons Lance Erick Sugvick Blunt and Logan Gordon Kaamoruk Blunt, father Jerry Blunt, mother Lynn (Bill) Lyons, brother Nathan Blunt, grandparents Jerry and Leona Blunt, and many very special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Jason was a kid at heart, and he will stay forever young.
