Obituary For Herbert Sage Jefferson
Herbert Sage Jefferson was born in St. Louis, MO on June 30, 1950 to Johnetta Jefferson and Russell Harlan. He transcended from earth on June 8th, 2023. He was the 6th child born of Johnetta Jefferson; Carlene Reedus (Murphy), Albert Fields (Cleo), Juanita Edwards, Charlesetta Jefferson, Sandra Hornsby, Herbert Jefferson, Carol Morris (Kenith) and Henrietta Oliver (Basil). Herbert known as Jeff attended Simmons Elementary School and Beaumont High School and thereafter obtained his GED.
On March 14, 1969, Herbert enlisted in the Vietnam War draft where he was stationed on Fort Louis, WA for Honor Guard training with the U.S. Coast Guard. After training Herbert who was known as Jeff was deployed for Vietnam War. Jeff completed his 4-year term and was Honorably Discharged from the Coast Guard on March 13, 1973. In 1979, Jeff then went on to spend some time in Alaska enjoying the life of a “Craber” in the summer for the 2 years he spent there.
Upon returning home from Alaska, he started his own remodeling company “Advanced Tech. Remodeling” and his clock company “American Time Machine”. Jeff also lovingly known to his family as Herbie had a passion for rebuilding. When he was a child, he enjoyed taking apart radio's and putting them back together. Herbie also had a funny bone and enjoyed playing tricks on his sisters and brother. Rebuilding computers became one of his passions along with his favorite game “Age of Empire” which he has been playing for the past 20 years. Herbie also had a passion for antiques and had a collection of items.
Herbie leaves to cherish his memories: his only daughter Quantika Allen (Baby girl) and his grandchildren Navaeh (Lovie), Trevis, (The Boi) and Kai (Kai Kai). His sisters Sandra Hornsby, Carol Morris and Henrietta Oliver. Along with a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Herbie also leaves behind a best friend Pat, along with a host of friends in Seattle.
He proceed in death: His Father Russell and Mother Johnetta. His brother Albert (Cleo) and sisters Juanita, Charlesetta, and Carlene (Murphy).
