Evelynlene Sturdivant or “Dot” as she was called by her siblings, was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She departed this earth on June 16, 2020 at age 83.

She was born to Arthur and Annie Mae Pierce on February 5, 1937 in Columbus. Georgia. She met and married Burden Samuel Stovall Jr. Together they had 6 living children, Teresa, Edith, Malcolm, Phyllis, Angelalalene, and Thornton.

Evelyn was a stay at home mom and took great pride in her home making and children, we always came home to a nice clean home and hot cooked meals. She would always be home if any of us kids had to come home from school ill. She would also be home in the summer to take us the parks, and various outings.

Growing up I thought of our mom as the most beautiful woman in the world. She took care of her children and encouraged her kids in their own unique gift. I want to appreciate her for giving us life. She will be missed but she left us with wonderful memories growing up.
