Obituary For Elliott Lawrence Brown

Elliott Lawrence Brown was a graduate of North Thurston High School in Olympia, WA. He served on active duty in the United States Army Infantry for 10 years. Tours of duty included Stryker Battalion, 82nd Airborne, 101st Air Assault and 503rd Airborne in Vicenza, Italy. He deployed to Afghanistan in 2012 with the 2nd Battalion, 1st Infantry Regiment. SFC Brown most recently served in the US Army Reserve Psychological Operations Battalion at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

Upon honorable discharge from active duty, Mr. Brown attended Saint Martin’s University in Lacey, WA. Elliott created his own live comedy and produced his own videos. He loved the outdoors, singing, and playing guitar.

Elliott leaves three beautiful children: Meili, Leda, and Keohan Brown (Lacey, WA). His parents, Mark and Laura Brown, and his brother, Nathan, reside in Olympia.

Military Awards and Decorations: Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Good Conduct Medal with three Knots, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with two Campaign Stars, Overseas Service Ribbon, NATO Medal, Expert Infantry Badge, Parachutist Badge, Pathfinder Badge, Air Assault Badge, and Italian Parachutist Badge.

SFC Brown’s remains are interred in a garden plot at the Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA
