Dwight Rodney Ingold

Obituary For Dwight Rodney Ingold

Dwight was described by almost everyone who knew him as a kind and gentle soul who cared and just wanted the world to live in Peace. Dwight passed away peacefully at the Cottages in Marysville where he lived and was well taken care of for his last 5 years.

He is survived by his Brother, Robert Ingold of North Dakota, his sister Cheryl Ingold Riisager of Timonium, Maryland, 1 Niece, 3 Nephews, 9 Grand Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Raymond and Betty Lou Ingold and his Brother, Jerry Ingold.

Dwight is also survived by his Chosen Family: Michelle Carmody, for whom he felt like the “little brother she never had”, and who oversaw his care for his last 15 years; Brian T. who took him to bowling, lunches, bingo and other events when he was still able to go out; the Guys from the Gay Men’s Task Force; Kathi, his sparring partner in gardening; Kelly C., a great co-rascal; the staff and other volunteers at the Camano Island Senior Thrift Store; as well as Myriad other friends whose lives he touched throughout the years here in the PNW, in Colorado where he lived for some years, and in North Dakota, where he was born and grew up.

A Gathering of Remembrance and Release of Ashes will be held on August 23, 2025 at 4:00 PM at Langus Riverfront Park,400 Smith Island Rd, Everett, WA, near the Boat Launch. A no-host dinner gathering will then follow at Dwight’ s favorite restaurant, Kate’s Greek & American Cafe, 2512 Colby Ave, Everett, WA. RSVP would be helpful for seating to Michelle @ 425-350-7077.
