Obituary For Dwight Kelly Aoanan

Dwight Kelly Aoanan always had an amiable smile that could light up the room. His loving heart left a beacon of life for all in the community. Dwight stayed strong and fought hard until passing away peacefully on October 21st, 2021, with the presence of his family. At the age of 22, he was given his angel wings where he can now smile down on us from heaven.

Dwight was born in the Philippines on February 20th, 1999, and migrated to Federal Way, Washington when he was 9 years old. It was there where he studied in Mark Twain Elementary School, Federal Way Public Academy and afterwards graduated from Raisbeck Aviation High School. After high school he chased his passion for cooking and worked in several restaurants including Panda Express, Anthony’s and Elliott’s Oyster house. He would often be found practicing his skills in the kitchen. From a tender young age Dwight always had a generous heart and kind spirit. With open arms, he regularly cooked a warm meal welcoming and expressing his love for others.

Dwight is survived by his siblings Mirafe-Joy and Joross Almer Aoanan, grandparents Jose Merlin and Mirafe Aoanan, Aunt Joan Marie Aoanan, Uncles Ferdinand (Zheng) and Democracy Aoanan, and his father Joel Santiago. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mhylene Aoanan and his grandparents Jose Alvaro and Julita Santiago. Beloved by everyone; he will be remembered as a loving brother, son, nephew and grandson. He will be missed more than he can ever imagine by family members and friends, many of whom had been blessed by his fantastic sense of humor and liveliness.
