In loving memory and forever loved

Crystal Ann Diaz ,also known as Cal as she preferred to be called, left this mortal realm on the morning of Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at home. She was 47 years old. She lived in Kent, Washington.

Crystal was born on March 9, 1975 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

She loved music and she played both the acoustic and electric guitar, as well as the violin. She also wrote poetry and published several books. She loved art and was very talented at drawing and diamond art. Crystal was a great student in school and she graduated from Lindbergh high school and took some college courses. She worked at a hospital in materials management and then had to leave because of health issues.

She lived with her mother, Lorraine Bingham VanDeVenter and stepfather the last 7 ½ years of her life. Crystal is survived by her mother, father, two younger sisters, Diana and Danielle, 2 nephews, 1 niece, and many other family members and friends.

Her close friend, Elijah and her understood each other more than many others. She had a cat named Princess, that she was very close to and loved. Crystal was very loving, sensitive and with a heart of gold. She will always be remembered and hold a special place in her loved ones’ hearts and minds. A memorial will be held for her at a later date and location still to be determined.
