Obituary For George LeRoy Thornton

George LeRoy Thornton, 80, Passed away on April 23, 2024 in Tacoma. He was born in Seattle, WA where he lived most of his life. He spent time in the Navy serving on the Oakhill, LSD and was very proud to have served his country.

George was a Locksmith and very active with the Northwest Locksmith Association. He was also part owner in Northwest Safe and Vault. He was a well respected safe technician. He was always willing to share the knowledge he gathered over the years with other locksmiths. He wanted to pass on the knowledge of being a locksmith and safe tech to future generations.

George is survived by his wife, Rachel Thornton; his two daughters, Sabrina Ware and Holly Thornton; Stepchildren, Robert Morgan Jr, Michael Hill, and Crystal Hill; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Service will be held May 8, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. at Tahoma National Cemetary.
