Obituary For Celia A Smith
Celia A. Smith, 68, of Federal Way, Washington, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026. Celia was born on March 26, 1957, in Salina, Kansas, to Bishop A. Hopkins and Zara Curtis. She lived a life devoted to family, service, and education. As a teacher, she touched the lives of many students and was known for her kindness, patience, and dedication to helping others learn and grow.
Above all else, Celia was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her greatest joy in life was her family, and she took pride in the generations she helped guide with love, wisdom, and strength. She is survived by her children: Frank, Isaiah, and Sileasha. She was preceded in death by her beloved child, Saquaya. Celia is also survived by her siblings, Charlsetta and James, as well as many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry on her legacy.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a viewing on March 13, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at: Cady Cremation Services and Funeral Home 8418 S 222nd St Kent, Washington 98031 In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations toward funeral expenses be sent to: c/o Jessica Guy 325 Washington Ave S, PMB 176 Kent, WA 98032
Celia will be remembered for her strength, compassion, and the love she shared with everyone around her.
