Recent Obituaries

Beatrice R Keohane, 94, passed away March 24, 2025, in Tacoma Washington. She will be fondly remembered as a remarkable woman, daughter, wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. Beatrice was born July 9, 1930, in Buffalo, NY and married Francis J Keohane May 22, 1954. Francis preceded her in death on March 5, 2019.

Together they raised 6 children – Thomas (Shirley)Keohane, Maureen (Scott) Lowery, Kathleen (Dale) Cavanaugh, Diane (Joe) Glidewell, and AnnMarie (Kraig) McLeod. Along with her children, she is survived by 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Carlin. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Francis, and son, Daniel, her parents, Margaret (Murphy)and Edward Ruh, as well as her brother Edward, and sister Marian.

Bea received her nursing degree from Mount Mercy Academy in Buffalo and continued caring for others throughout her life. She is remembered by others for her kindness and welcoming personality. Until the Lord called her home, she was physically active and enjoyed walking, playing cards and reading.

She will be laid to rest, along with her husband, on April 23, 2025, at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA.
