Obituary For Anthony Osmond Sperry

Anthony “Andy” Osmond Sperry founder and owner of Seattle Shuttle was called home peacefully to be with our Heavenly Father, October 24th, 2024.

Andy was born June 21,1963 in Yakima WA, Andy grew up in Reno, NV and Yakima WA with his parents, sister, and a village of family. Andy had a passion for life and lived each moment with purpose. To all who knew him, he was a unique and caring individual who touched their lives with his generous and loving kindness. Andy always loved to play jokes on friends and family. He loved to laugh and make others around him laugh, he loved the Seahawks, visiting the beach, and woodworking. His greatest love was his family and Seattle Shuttle. Andy grew up visiting his grandparents every summer and helping in the gardens, rock hunting, making ceramics, and playing with countless cousins. After moving back to Yakima, he joined the boy scouts where he earned his Eagle Scout. He was active in the LDS church; where he played on the church basketball team that went to state each year. He worked with his family picking apples and cherries. He attended Ike and YVSC Radio Broadcasting, he graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1981. He attended Ricks College and worked at a local radio station as a DJ. Andy joined the Army and worked his way up to M1 Armor Crewmen. While stationed in Germany he was the personal driver for the Sergeant Major, where he gained the love of driving. Andy earned the Army Commendation Medal, he attended jump school, and earned several awards, ribbons, and badges. After returning from active duty, he attended BYU. After moving back to Washington, he moved to Seattle where he worked at Seattle Inn as the night auditor. The guest needed rides from the hotel, he started driving them in his own car when he got off his shift, which is how he started Seattle Shuttle, his true passion.

His love of online gaming is where he met the love of his life Melinda. In typical Andy fashion, it didn’t matter that she lived in Texas and him in Seattle, their love brought them together.

Andy was preceded in death by his parents, Father Richard Wison, Mother Laura Sperry, stepfather C. Ray Sperry, Brother Richard “Ricky” Wilson, and Grandparents. He leaves behind his life partner and wife Melinda Miller, his sister Mari Sperry/Taylor (Lucky), favorite niece KaMara Taylor, daughter Kearsley Wiswell (Caleb), several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Andy is missed by so many family members, friends, employees, and loved ones. Those who knew him were greatly impacted by his kindness and love.
